HIVEKICKER is the brainchild of John Flude (Full Time Kings/ Dragstrip Syndicate / Kung Flude /GUY). This album features the drums of Chapel Hill, NC scene veteran, Scott Nurkin (Birds of Avalon/Dynamite Brothers). The album “Kick Out The Hives”, is filled with sonic obliteration, pulling influences from NY, DC, Detroit, and Sweden.
The HIVEKICKER album “Kick Out The Hives” employed the mixing and sound engineering skills of Track and Field Recoding owner, Nick Petersen (Bon Iver – For Emma). The album was recorded over five isolated months of the 2020 Pandemic. This album was written and performed entirely by John, except for the drums. The drums were recorded at the legendary Chapel Hill, NC rock club, Local 506, over the weekend of November 7 – 8, 2020. Carl Saff Mastered the album at the end of December 2020.
